Football Days

The gridiron has new characters for us to observe...
one of them came up in the stands to see us.

This is Hunter BEFORE the game.
Wish you could have seen the AFTER...
Proud and sweaty...they'd played a great game
with an outcome of 20-6!!!
Everyone was slapping him on the back
for all the great work he'd done,
whole family standing around,
taking it in.

All we had for picture-taking was a phone...
maybe we'll do better next time.
Watch for Number 11.

A Third Version

Remember "A Timeless Classic," a post back in December of 2010?
Landon wearing Grandpa Al's clothing from 1942...
Well, guess what?
I found another picture in our photograph archives...Adam in the same outfit.

Adam holding the picture of his dad in the two-piece suit.

The All-Underwood Birthday Party

September 5 is Hunter's birthday but he generously shared it with Dave, Amy, and Blake...
it was convenient for all of the family to gather just one time instead of four.
Here's a little overview:
Happy birthday cake to Dave, Hunter, Blake, and Amy.
Host and greeter for the party was Blake...
he also planned the entertainment...games, of course.

This birthday banner has been recycled about fifteen times :)

The chef organized buffet-style food service...
dining out on the deck in perfect weather made the day truly comfortable.

Landon's checking out the digs...

Cousins in croquet...that's cousin Zach on the left...

Hunter whipped up some smoothies for everyone
after he took orders for blueberry, raspberry, or strawberry.

When it came to gift opening, Hunter's wish was granted~~
he's been longing for a SOFT toilet seat in the Jack-and-Jill john
he shares with Blake

See---even the lid is soft. :)

Cutting cake...that's Aunt Julie and Grandma Jonita, Zach, and Hunter.

Blake, in charge of gaming, ran a tournament for bean-bag toss.
It was awesome...something all of us could do!
But the camera got left behind...no more pictures of our skilled participants.
Hope your Labor Day was as wonderful as ours.
